Bio
I'm a computer & video game geek, and a chick. How cool is that? I work in network support, have built my last and current computer, but am not that into programming. I just don't have the patience for details that is needed there. I'm into both console (XBox & PS2) and PC games. Some faves are Resident Evil 4, Civ IV. Still need to play the Call of Cthulhu.

I also read, both books and some graphic novels/comics, and love movies. Horror and sci-fi are faves, but I'll watch almost anything. Except chick flics. Ugh. Check out my interests for some faves on books and movies.

I am a goth-punk from the 80s, and still listen to a big chunk of it today. Again, check out my interests for a short list.

To fit in with the punk in me, I am a huge freedom and civil liberties proponent. I try to keep up with as much news as possible; but from many, many sources, including foriegn and alternative sites. If you haven't guessed by now, I am rather liberal (more to the left than most people here in Oklahoma, that's for sure). I despise Bush and his administration, believe in marriage rights, abortion rights, abolition of the PATRIOT Act, and that we were lied to in order to start the War.

I am also agnostic. But more of the 'I don't believe in a higher power/god, but who knows what may be out there.' type. More of an athiest/agnostic, really. Which is rather hard in the middle of the bible belt, with tons of crosses and christians running around to the hundreds and hundreds of churches everywhere.

So there you go. Feel free to read and comment. I am open to discussion, even if it isn't of my own opinion, but just don't start a flame war or insult. Be nice.

Oh, and I love a good quote...

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." --Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President, speaking during World War I.

"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." -Abraham Lincoln

"I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." -James Madison, June 16, 1788

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." -Ben Franklin

"The best way to enhance freedom in other lands is to demonstrate here that our democratic system is worthy of emulation." -James E. Carter

"The government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion." -George Washington, Treaty of Tripoli, 1796

"Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law." -Thomas Jefferson, February 10, 1814

Not related to anything else, but it always gets me when I hear it:

" Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth." — Alphonse Elric

Ok, I'll stop before I fill the whole page...
